getInProgressBar
IRenkoBar getInProgressBar()
- Theory says, that prices may exceed the top (or bottom) of the current brick.
Again, new bricks are only added when prices completely "fill" the brick.
For example, for a 5-point chart, if prices rise from 98 to 102,
the hollow brick that goes from 95 to 100 is added to the chart BUT the hollow brick that goes from 100 to 105 is NOT DRAWN.
The Renko chart will give the impression that prices stopped at 100.
So this method returns in progress bar which is not drawn until fully constructed, but could be extracted.
Note, that in progress bar is available only for the last fully constructed bar,
for all others historical bars null will be returned.
- Returns:
getWickPrice
java.lang.Double getWickPrice()
- The Wick or Tail gives additional information of the market movement during the drawing of any individual bar.
Example using a 5-pip Renko Bar and where market moves from 10 to 25:
Assuming that price movement was not simple one-way, but market moved from 10 -> 17 -> 13 -> 20 -> 17 -> 25,
the same RB with wicks will show the following 3 bars:
10 -> 15 no wick (null)
15 -> 20 with wick down to 13
20 -> 25 with wick down to 17
In case of rising Renko Bars: wicks can only be underneath of the bar-body
In case of falling Renko Bars: wicks can only be above of the bar-body
- Returns:
- wick price
